ABOUT
Battlebridge Football Club
was formed in November 2011, the club was originally known as The Mole Valley Disability Football Project gaining its funding from Reigate and Banstead Council, Mole Valley Council, Sport England, Sported, Reigate & Banstead Sports Council and other local sponsors to provide football for some of the most disadvantaged children attending special schools in Surrey, it wasn't long before we found ourselves with a thriving adults squad competing in the second highest league Premiership 2.
The key benefits are for our complex needs players are to improve their football skills, gaining better motor skills such as co-ordination, helping them to achieve a better level of fitness and developing them as football players whilst representing their local club to build their confidence and self-esteem, many adults and children with a disability do not get accepted into mainstream teams and therefore don’t make friends easily.
What makes us unique? The clubs our disability teams compete against in the Surrey Football For All League are some of the well known professional and semi-professional clubs.
We have a mix of disability and mainstream teams which makes us one of the most inclusive clubs in Surrey.
